Tha Carter III Sessions: Original Samples

by Thomas on October 4, 2008

I know, I know, WTF right?  Well, a lot of you may be scoffing now, but I bet you all will still download this set!  I surprised Kevin the other day when I told him I was working on these samples and he almost didn’t let me post it.  Luckily he came around and also thought it was a good idea.

We chose to call it Tha Carter III Sessions, cuz we went a lot further than just the samples for the album. Only seven of the samples in this set are for Tha Carter III.  The rest come from tracks Wayne did for his mixtapes The Leak, The Drought Is Over, and a few others.  We have also included an early 90s techno track which could have possibly been the inspiration behind the beat for “Lollipop”.  For quite a few of the mixtape tracks, we were unsure about the producer credits.  So if anyone knows, please help us fill in the blanks.  All in all, this turned out to be a pretty good sample set…ENJOY!
