Heist of the Century: Original Samples

We’re finally in our last week of our January Month of Samples. On Day 25 we bring you the samples to the debut album from Wu-Tang affiliate La The Darkman. Heist of the Century features appearances by many Wu-Tang Clan members and affiliates such as Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and U-God,and also features Havoc from Mobb Deep.

Much of the production on this album is credited to Carlos Broady, an original member of the hip-hop production team The Hitmen in the 1990s. He is also credited with producing hits from Puff Daddy’s debut album No Way Out, and also did a lot of the production on The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death. Other producers on this album include RZA, Havoc, DJ Muggs, and Wu-Tang Clan affiliate 4th Disciple.
