I really hope these are the best of the best tracks selected for the album. Standard 9 songs is like half an hour of music, I’d prefer something a little longer.

They said they had been recording hundreds of “great songs” during their time with the Fallon show and we only get to hear nine?!?!?!

If The Roots only have nine songs….best believe they are the best nine songs they have to put on an album. The Roots do not disappoint. Cannot wait for this.

quality over quantity… I hope. I’d rather have 9 great songs than 9 great ones + 9 fillers.

im actually very happy its 9 tracks ..most likely theyre all gonna be great…im really looking forward to this now

If they’re all high quality, it should be good. I doubt they’re gonna do like Meth/Rae/Ghost and have multiple tracks under 3 minutes. The Roots released the Dilla Joints for free and then right after this album have a project with John Legend (probably why he’s on two tracks here) so they got a lot for us in one year.

I’m so excited for this release, and I’m sure there will be bonus cuts or hidden tracks as well. Who says it’s going to be half an hour? I wouldn’t be surprised if the tracks aren’t quick 3 minute ones, and if it’s dope – it’s dope regardless of time.
