Just wanna point you all to a new section of the site — Kev’s List: The Hip Hop Classifieds. One of the things I enjoy the most about what we do on this site is bringing artists together to collaborate. You’ve seen it in our remix contests and you’ve seen it in the collaborative mixtapes we’ve put together. I constantly get asked by emcees, who are looking for beats, to hook them up with producers from the site and I also get asked by producers to help them get emcees to hop on their projects. Well, if this classifieds section works the way I hope it will, there will be a place for all of you to hook up, collaborate, and promote your stuff.
Looking for beats? Trying to find someone to collaborate with? Looking for an engineer or graphic artist? Browse our classifieds. Want to post your beat tapes? Want to advertise your services? Or simply just meet like-minded musicians? Post a classified ad.
What I’ve thrown together is really simple and is still a work in progress, but the functionality is already in place. So test it out! Post your requests (ie, emcee seeking beats for new album), post your beats, or promote your projects. If you got equipment for sale, we got a spot for that too. If you have any suggestions for new categories or how to make Kev’s List better, let me know.
