[KN Premiere] Binary Star: Love Is Love x 15th Anniversary EP Release

They’re back! Although One Be Lo & Senim Silla have been performing together for awhile now, fans have been waiting years for Binary Star to officially release some new material together. Well folks, the wait is finally over. We here at are proud to bring you the first single from Binary Star in over a decade, “Love Is Love” produced by Unjust. As Lo & Senim get ready to hit the stage at the Paid Dues Festival tomorrow, the two have released their new self-titled EP as a celebration of their debut 15 years ago. “Love Is Love” is among the six all-new tracks on the Binary Star EP, which you can purchase now at their Bandcamp page. You can also expect much more content from One Be Lo & Senim Silla here at KN in the weeks to come. For more on this momentous return of Binary Star, check out the full details below:

Binary Star has announced the upcoming release of their ‘Self Titled’ six-track EP, dropping March 29th, 2013.

For the project, Binary Star does not attempt to reinvent the wheel. One Be Lo and his Autocons Production team (hailing from Pontiac, Michigan) provide the soundtrack for Binary Star’s latest contribution.

One Be Lo explains,

“We recognized that Binary Star is a product of environment and circumstances. We recorded the entire album in Pontiac Michigan, the place where it all started for us over 15 years ago. No sending verses via email, etc. One Be Lo and Senim Silla are Binary Star, so with these records we want to show the complete range, that’s why the solos are necessary. Also, I never emphasized that I made beats, but all that is about to change as well. Welcome to Binary Star.”

The album’s single, “Love is Love,” is produced by Unjust (Dayton/Oakland), while One Be Lo (aka One Man Army) produces “noitavO”, “Big Bad Wolf” and “Autocons Interlude,” a transition into bonus tracks featured on the EP.

Maliki the Most Hi, who appeared on “KGB,” a track off of Binary’s album Masters of The Universe, produced “Wait,” a Senim Silla love story about a long distance relationship while incarcerated.

Autocons’ GasMaskeDaily produced the track “Thumper (aka the Caped Crusader aka the King James Diversion),” a One Be Lo solo that flips the Books of the Bible into an introspective story about a young man searching for rhyme and reason.

The EP is a throwback to the four-track EP Binary Star independently released on cassette and vinyl 15 years ago. That project featured three songs that later appeared on their full-length album, Masters of the Universe. Those songs are included as bonus material in Celebration of 15 years of Binary Star music.
