Today we are proud to bring you Trap Hop, the latest EP from Marcel P. Black. Here in my hometown of Baton Rouge, Marcel does a lot of great work in the community with kids. While his message has resonated with them, the music didn’t. In this era, the raw Hip Hop and boom bap style Marcel employed didn’t connect with these kids. So, Marcel adapted and found a way to bridge that gap without losing the backbone of his work. With the help of Chicago producer J-Filly, Marcel utilizes the popular style of production today to deliver his message in a new way. For instance, Marcel finds a way to change a typical drug song into a track about addiction. I believe deeply in this project and I hope you will too. You can stream the entire project below and support by copping it for just $4 via Bandcamp. Enjoy!
