BLCTXT: The Roots [prod by King I Divine]

It’s hard to believe it’s been three years since BLCTXT released A Smart Black Boy. I definitely need the ATLien to drop a new project ASAP, but I think we’ll all gladly take a dope single too. BLCTXT gives us just that in the form of “The Roots” produced by frequent collaborator and fellow KN favorite King I Divine. You can find this track on the A3C Volume 4 compilation, which is available now on iTunes. Read More »

Pyramid Quince: The Moon Lookin Fye Tonight

Pyramid Quince is part of the NRK collective in Atlanta, who you may know for their loose affiliation with Odd Future. Perhaps the best known member of NRK is Pyramid Vritra aka Hal Williams, who we’ve covered on the site before.  The whole crew is quite talented and Quince is a perfect example of that. The homie Kosherbeets of Supreme INK recently sent over Quince’s latest record called The Moon Lookin Fye Tonight. The free release features 10 tracks with production handled by Archibald Slim, LuiDiamonds, Stalin Majesty, Dexter Dukarus & Introspective Minds. Tracklist & link/stream are below. Marcel P. Black: Black Collar [prod by J Filly]

The homie Marcel P. Black offers up some heat to the world with the new single “Black Collar” produced by J Filly. I had the pleasure of hearing this one months ago and it’s a gem. The Baton Rouge by way of Ardmore emcee says this track “serves as the anthem for the everyday person in the struggle trying to take care of his/her family, at the same time trying to make a difference in the community.” Look out for Marcel’s Black Collar LP, which is scheduled to drop on November 28th.
