T.H.E.M: Shaolin Blow [Music Video]

A few months ago, we informed you that Houston collective T.H.E.M. aka The Houston Elite MC’s would be releasing their first album together. Now the group has unveiled the first single & video via the Wu-Tang Clan inspired “Shaolin Blow” produced by Chris Rockaway. It’s a dope posse cut which sees seven of the group’s members dropping some impressive bars on the grimy beat. Look out for Hollywood FLOSS, Dustin-Prestige, hasHBrown, John Dew, Rob Jay, Kidd the Great, Thurogood Wordsmith, The K.I.D, Phonix & Nya’s album NONPAREIL to drop later this yea. Read More »

Roosh Williams: Nightmares On Wax (feat Rabel)

Roosh Williams switches things up on “Nightmares On Wax” with a more subdued flow than usual and a smooth beat to provide some insight on his current state of mind. This track will not appear on the Houston emcee’s upcoming album Unorthodox, which is due out soon. You can expect to hear some cuts off the LP over the course of October though, according to Roosh. C-Loc: Ride With Me (feat Max Minelli) [Music Video]

C-Loc and Max Minelli on a track makes your friendly KN editor a happy man. It’s not like these two haven’t collaborated on many occasions before, but I just love see the Concentration Camp (I know, rough name) still working together as they’re is essentially Hip Hop royalty in Baton Rouge. Anyway, Max Minelli joins his longtime mentor C-Loc on ‘Ride With Me” along with this accompanying video. Minus the formulaic hook, it’s a dope track from these two veterans. Here’s to dreaming that the impossible happens and a Camp reunion joint with Loc, Max, Young Bleed, Lil’ Boosie, J-Von and Boo Rossini could happen one day. Read More »

Sy Ari Da Kid: Business Is Personal [Music Video]

Sy Ari Da Kid, one of my favorite artists repping Atlanta right now, dropped this new music video for his very dope cut “Business Is Personal” produced by Freddie Foxxx aka Bumpy Knuckles. The song appears on Sy Ari Da Kid’s Ultrasound 2 (The Birth) mixtape, which dropped earlier this year. If you’re feeling this track but don’t want to download the whole tape though, you can grab “Business Is Personal” via Soundcloud. Read More »

Hosannah: Dooby [Music Video]

The homie Prospek sent over a fresh new track he produced for Uppanotch’s Hosannah called “Dooby” along with this accompanying music video. This production is definitely a new wrinkle in the style of Prospek while Hosannah flips the script on what you’d think a song titled “Dooby” would be about. This track will appear on Hosannah’s upcoming solo debut It’s All Academics, which is scheduled to drop on October 14th. Read More »

Uzi: Riot Control [prod by Markilla Beats]

Here’s a dope submission courtesy of Florida emcee Uzi with his track “Riot Control” produced by Markilla Beats. Uzi’s unique delivery and flow paired with the substance behind it definitely caught my ear, and I’m interested to hear what more he’s got to offer. This track serves as the second single and title cut off his Riot Control album, which is coming soon. Read More »

We’ve got some more from Devine Carama for you today as the Kentucky emcee released this video for his joint “Something More” produced by Sir Flywalker. The track serves as the second single for Carama’s upcoming album Believing In Forever, which is scheduled to drop on October 27th. Read More »

Rob Regal: Number One [prod by SuprDopeBeats]

Rob Regal, formerly known as Lyriciss, says that his long awaited album The Reflection will finally be dropping this fall! To prep fans for the upcoming project, the Maryland emcee unveiled a new street single called “Number One” produced by SuprDopeBeats. And for those of you who will be attending A3C in a few weeks, you can catch Rob at the “Live On Arrival” showcase taking place on October 8th. But until then, enjoy this fresh track from Rob and SuprDopeBeats. Read More »

Trouble: Pocket Full Of Dead Dudes [Music Video]

ThisThe industry is fascinated with Atlanta’s “weird” rappers. Just look at some of their hype train surrounding guys like Young Thug, Makonnen and OG Maco. Unfortunately, that means an artist like Trouble gets forgotten. He had some buzz, piggybacking a bit off his DTE cohort Alley Boy when people were still seemed to care about the less obtuse version of trap rap just a few years ago. And to me, Trouble is a much more compelling character (not to mention a better rapper) than new purveyors of that scene because of his directness. “Pocket Full Of Dead Dudes” is an example of that and evidence you can still make entertaining trap rap that doesn’t involving off-key singing and silliness. But enough of my ranting. This track will appear on Trouble’s upcoming mixtape All On Me, which is due out on October 6th. Read More »

Nemo Achida: Come Alive [Music Video]

Nemo Achida celebrated his birthday yesterday by releasing this impressive music video for his track “Come Alive” off the Side B EP. The title of the song is quite appropriate visuals as the animated style brings the record to life. If you haven’t already, make sure you cop Nemo’s Side A & B EP’s which dropped back in May.
