The Regiment, Soul Tools & School Of Confidence Announce Remix Contest Winner

A couple weeks ago The Regiment along with Soul Tools Entertainment and the School Of Confidence announced a remix contest for any track off their Off The Record EP with Australian producer Alter Ego. After the daunting task of listening to every submission The Regiment, Confidence and Soul Tools are happy to announce that German producer B-Side has won the competition with his remix of “Tomb.” “German beathead B-Side stands for organic sample based hip hop beats. His roots he found in Gang Starr’s “The moment of Truth” and the mighty beat productions of Dj Premier, who always was a role model for him. Since that he kept being fascinated by the analog sample sound of 70th soul, so he is still collecting vinyls of the good old days. Actually he is much influenced by Detroit’s producer Apollo Brown and started cooperating with German rap artist Tits in 2012 after he made beats for a few years. Nowadays he lives in Berlin trying to keep doing Hip Hop music and connect to people which love the same authentic real talk type of rap. His motivation is to still save the golden era Boom Bap sound.” Thanks to all that entered the contest, it was definitely a hard task trying to find the winner as all the submissions were on point! Congratulations to B-Side, I’m sure we will be hearing more from the dope producer in the future, as a matter of fact I’ll be doing an interview with B-Side very ... Read More »
