Slug (of Atmosphere), MaLLy, Mike The Martyr & Haphduzn: Shameless (Live Video)

Last Friday I had the honor of attending one of the illest Hip Hop shows I have been to in a very long time. The occasion for the show was the release party for Haphduzn and Dimitry Killstorm‘s Certified fresH debut project Whittier Alliance. Opening up for Haphduzn were dope performances by Baby Shel, Illab, Mike The Martyr and Greg Grease. By the time Haphduzn grabbed the mic, Dimitry Killstorm jumped on his MPC and Frank Castle got on the 1’s and 2’s the probably over-capacity crowd at The Nomad was ready to get busy and Haph’s commanding stage presence is exactly what they were waiting for. After what felt like about a 40 minute set of raw Hip Hop and an energy that could be felt from Minneapolis to all four corners of the globe Haphduzn walked off stage only to reappear after hearing the chants of “One More Song!” from the crowd. To finish out one of the best live performances I have witnessed over my years Haph brought out Slug of Atmosphere to perform their collaboration track off of Whittier Alliance, “T.O.F.U.“to kick it up a notch and then brought up MaLLy and Mike The Martyr to hit the still thick,  jaw dropped crowd with their posse cut “Shameless.” Shit was wild. Peep the footage caught by Jaze of the “Shameless” posse cut performance then do yourself a favor and cop Haphduzn and Dimitry Killstorm’s Whittier Alliance physically via Fifth Element and digitally via iTunes.
